Social Worker (Program Coordinator)

Administers information and analytical systems to evaluate and enhance the quality of service provided to patients Develops and implements information systems to track service activities including visits, referrals, inpatient days, patient demographics, equipment utilization and patient satisfaction Develops implements and evaluates clinical guidelines and protocols to establish appropriate utilization of services. Supervises a group of employees performing work at various GS levels (e.g. psychologists, nurses, addiction therapists, clerical staff, health techs, program support assistants, etc.) Provides administrative, technical and clinical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit/service including outreach efforts, CBOC involvement and efforts at other sites within a Health Care System Performs the administrative and personnel management function relative to staff supervised Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system Observes workers' performance; demonstrates and conducts work performance critiques. Provides informal feedback and periodically evaluates employee performance Resolve informal complaints and grievances Develops work improvement plans, recommending personnel actions as necessary Provides advice and counsel to workers related to work and administrative matters. Effects disciplinary measures as appropriate to the authority delegated in this area. Reviews and approves or disapproves leave requests Assures that subordinates are trained and fully comply with the provisions of the safety regulations. Responsible for furthering the goals of equal employment opportunity (EEO) Supervises employees to accomplish the work of the organization unit Exercises supervisor authorities and responsibilities involving work assignment and review, as well as the administrative and personnel management functions relative to the staff supervised Uses sound judgment in the interpretation of trends and patterns; the application of guidelines; and the recommendation of program enhancements Performs program analysis, development, review, research, design, and contact work as possible with various agencies (public, DOD, state, etc.) Performs work related to the review, monitoring, analysis, planning and assessment of various programs Responsible for key project activities related to the planning, development, and implementation of the project component A substantial portion of the workload directed by this position is carried out at one or more locations that are physically removed from the main unit under conditions that make day-to-day supervision difficult to administer This position supervises an organizational unit Performs other related duties as assigned Work Schedule:

Have a master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the School of Social Work is fully accredited. //www.cswe.org/Accreditation to verify that the social work degree meets the accreditation standards for a masters of social work. Licensure. Persons hired or reassigned to social worker positions in the GS-0185 series in VHA must be licensed or certified by a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level. Individuals assigned as social worker program coordinator must be licensed or certified at the advanced practice level, and must be able to provide supervision for licensure. Skill in coordinating and implementing one or more specialty program(s), across the facility. Skill in local policy and practice development, procedures, and/or practice guidelines for the program as prescribed by the program handbook or national directive. Skill in organizing work, setting priorities, meeting multiple deadlines, and evaluating assigned program area(s). Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners to further program goals and enhance patient centered care. Ability to provide the full range of supervisory duties including assignment of work to be performed; performance evaluations; and selection of staff, training, and recommendation of awards, advancements, and when appropriate, disciplinary action. Ability to oversee the fiscal matters of the functions supervised (including fund controls, contracts, and equipment expenditures), forecast resource and equipment needs, and administer the allocated budget. Knowledge of organizational structure and impact on program operations. Preferred

Incumbent will need to have the ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination, correctable vision, hearing with or without aid, depth perception, ability to distinguish basic colors and emotional and mental stability.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
