Senior Cost Accounting Analyst

This position will perform duties and tasks to support proper costing and recognition of inventory balances in the Company's sub-ledger and general ledger. This will take place through the monitoring of inventory, accuracy, data mining, reporting, analysis, and proper maintenance of data.   RESPONSIBILITIES: Calculate and maintain conversion rates in ERPs for ASI sites.  Determine cost drivers and demonstrate the ability to teach others cost and financial analysis concepts.  Interacts and interprets data for site leaders. Ensures SOX compliance and prepares journal entries of a complex nature requiring judgement. Prepares and analyzes internal operational reports for leadership team. Reviews the reconciliation and analysis of inventories and the investigation of discrepancies for all subcontractor and third-party locations. Cost and variance analysis - Analyze cost and variances of a complex nature, suggest and implement solutions to help reduce cost variances.  Leads cross-functional projects affecting other U.S. operational departments including billing, financial planning and analysis, order fulfillment, transportation, warehousing, purchasing, and general accounting. Develop cost estimates and models and proactively drives continuous improvement to ensure processes and methods meet the requirements of the business. Reviews and reports on cycle counts for the plants, perform physical counts at third party locations, review, perform, and analyze inventory reconciliations.   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university is required. 7 plus years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment with a concentration in inventory, production, costing and internal control. In Depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices, and the analysis and reporting of financial data. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
