Company Work Location: Akron, OH
Required Skills:
Improve existing processes and revise documentation such as manufacturing procedures, forms, charts and other process documentation.
Will perform programming on new and existing PLC's.
Assist in developing and implementing cost reduction initiatives through continuous improvement (kaizen) events.
Evaluate vendor proposals for new equipment and retrofits.
Design and improve fixtures, processes, layouts, and specify tools and equipment to achieve cost reductions and improved safety, quality and reliability.
Specify and/or design, install, and debug tooling and capital equipment.
Manage capital projects from start to completion including writing AFEs (Authority For Expenditure).
Responsibility:
BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing shop floor experience.
Must have prior project management experience (capital projects, cost-outs, etc.)
Must have demonstrated machine and equipment troubleshooting skills.
Must have knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts, continuous improvement and problem solving methodologies.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
