Babcox Media, Inc., an Akron, Ohio-based B2B print, digital and video media company with concentration in the automotive, powersports, and truck fleet industries, is seeking an experienced Software Wordpress Developer for our eMedia division with responsibilities including on-going website maintenance and enhancements, Wordpress development including customization of code and plug-ins, enhancing user experience and providing support for existing digital initiatives throughout the company. We are seeking creative and motivated individuals who are confident in their abilities to work independently to complete assigned and required tasks within required deadlines.
This is a Full time position.
Job Requirements:
3-5 years of experience with WordPress, PHP and JQuery is required; Experience with publishing and/or B2B websites is preferred, but not mandatory.
Duties Include:
WordPress theme and plug-in configuration and customization; Research on new features and plug-ins and communicating/recommending optimal solutions to internal teams; Ongoing support and updates as needed on existing company websites; Regular Maintenance of plug-ins, themes and code to keep sites secure and functioning smoothly; Custom development of web applications, plug-ins and widgets.

Candidates should possess an associate's degree or technical degree in the field of computer science/information systems and/or three to five years of equivalent work experience. Competitive salary and benefit packages will be reviewed with applicants.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
