Seeking a Product Engineer MAPE
Our Client Company is a global engineering group specializing in extreme-environment components and smart sub-systems for the aerospace, defense and energy markets. They are currently seeking a Product Engineer in Akron, Ohio. The salary range 60k
depending on experience with Relocation Assistance available.
Working closely with the program team and manufacturers, the Product Engineer develops manufacturing plans and schedules to assure product deliverables. He/she also administrates change management to ensure engineering requirements are fully communicated and understood and maintains configuration control in the rapidly changing environment. In addition to aiding in the development of process and product standards, the Product Engineer provides manufacturing technical leadership, performs process reviews to ensure maximum reliability, serviceability and efficiency in the production of printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies. He/she evaluates, analyzes and makes recommendations on products, designs, and cost improvements. Finally, this role participates in/leads root cause analyses and instigates corrective actions.
Requirements:
A BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Technical background in the design and manufacturing processes associated with printed circuit board
and electronic assemblies
1-5 years of Electronics Manufacturing experience in a low-volume, aerospace environment
Project-management experience
Strong desire and willingness to document and improve processes
Experience with SAP, MS Office, and MS Project
Excellent written- and verbal-communication skills
Outstanding teaming skills with an emphasis in working on cross-functional teams including customers,
suppliers, design, quality and procurement
