Description
Our nationally and internationally known client is undergoing expansion of their Power Delivery team. A very large overhead transmission line program requires experienced Transmission Project Managers for full-time positions based in several locations. The Power Delivery team provides consulting and design-build expertise in medium and high voltage (69kV - 500kV) infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Seeking an energetic civil or electrical engineer with transmission line design and project management expertise who can lead the design efforts and/or manage several electric transmission line projects concurrently for various utility clients. This person needs to combine transmission line design experience with at least 5 years related project management experience. You will supervise electric transmission line projects which can encompass new construction, major additions, or rehabilitation and retrofits of existing infrastructure. You will be responsible for developing scopes of work, analyzing budgets and cost estimates, identifying risks associated with execution of the project, and developing schedule parameters. You will provide overall management of projects from concept to completion including siting, environmental, permitting, planning, estimating, engineering, right-of-way acquisition, project controls, bid phase services, procurement, constructability reviews, material management, construction management, and closeout. In addition, you will review engineering, design, and construction deliverables to assure that client expectations are met as well as contractual obligations and compliance with industry standards/policies.
Candidate must have demonstrated leadership, design and project management skills with a strong ability to multi-task and prioritize activities while maintaining a high standard of quality in the project deliverable. Your ability to promote a culture of teamwork and best practices will be key to your success.
Requirements:
5 to 25
years of project and management experience on high voltage (69kV+) infrastructure, preferably with a national consulting practice or directly with a major utility company
Applicable experience in high voltage (69kV - 500kV) infrastructure
Applicable experience in transmission line and substation design-build projects
4-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred
Travel as needed (50%)
Salary: $DOE plus bonus. Relocation assistance. Comprehensive benefits.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
