HVAC Engineer II
Engineering consultant located in Akron, OH looking for an HVAC Engineer II to join their successful and growing team.
The HVAC Engineer II is an individual looking to take on the challenges of performing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection engineering for industrial facilities for projects large and small.
These duties include design drawings, interfacing with other engineering disciplines, and performing field design work.
Key The HVAC Engineer has a variety of responsibilities Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning design for industrial and chemical plants and related office facilities Heating and cooling load calculations.
Reviewing and applying recent applicable codes and standards (i.
e.
, Mechanical, Fire, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.
) Engineering of dust and fume collection systems Plumbing system layout and sizing Fire protection design specification Oversees the production of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection drawings Interfaces with other engineering disciplines and clients Performs field work by obtaining information, making field sketches, and verifying drawings Qualifications - Education/ Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree, PE desirable 5 years minimum HVAC experience with minimum 2 years industrial HVAC experience Knowledge of mechanical and fire codes and NFPA and ASHRAE standards AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, or Revit experience a plus Eligibility Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction Authorizes a background investigation, including verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational background Submits to a drug test post offer Possesses a valid driver's license Accepts that this position may require some domestic overnight travel Monday-Friday, flexible scheduleJob Full time, direct hire Hybrid/remote work option (Tues/Wed/Th on-site in Akron, OH with Mon & Fri remote option) $80K-115K (Salary, but will earn for any hours worked over 40/week) HVAC, mechanical, engineering, engineer, consultant, department, senior level, full time, remote, hybrid, full time, salary, Akron, Bachelors Degree, Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license Recommended Skills Auto Cad Autodesk Revit Calculations Drawing Mechanical Engineering National Electrical Codes Apply to this job.
