Cleans, sweeps, mops, waxes floors.
Cleans and dusts patient rooms and general maintenance duties for OR, Pre-Op, and Post-Op areas.
Essential Job Functions/Accountabilities Cleans/ disinfects ORs between cases; prepares mop water daily; cleans designated equipment on a monthly schedule; helps to clean patient charts and inpatient beds.
Stocks masks, scrub brushes, scrub solutions; saline, waters, blankets, etc.
, as needed; assists with unloading supplies in stock room as time permits; disperses supplies to designated area as time permits; maintains order of Storerooms A & B; appropriately breaks down and disposes of empty cardboard boxes; distributes linen as needed.
Understands and follows appropriate PPE guidelines and exposure protocol if needed.
Deposits room trash and linen in appropriate area-wearing necessary PPEs; secures and transports red trash (contaminated trash) and sharps containers as appropriate; empties kitchen trash as needed.
Cleans and check outdates in clean core.
Performs general maintenance duties for OR, Pre-Op, and Post-Op as needed.
May assist OR staff in positioning surgical patients after induction of anesthesia; may assist OR staff in patient transfer to and/or from OR bed to cart; assists in transporting patients to OR and from OR to PACU.
Understands and follows appropriate PPE guidelines and exposure protocol if needed.
Runs all autoclave tests daily and cleans autoclave drains daily/cleans autoclaves as instructed.
Participates in OR meetings; shares ideas for improvement/revision of policies/procedures which would enhance the work environment and overall operation of the OR.
All other duties not specifically assigned.
Position Requirements Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Three (3) to Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in patient/health care preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
