Data Analyst- BrightLoop
DescriptionWe are currently seeking a support person for our team which is leading deployment of our new technology, BrightLoop.
This support person will not only support the creation of data analytics for projects, and technology, but will also support some administrative functions such as scheduling meetings, supporting team members with expense account creation, etc.
The main functions of this role will be developing tools (Excel spreadsheets, PowerBI report, PowerPoint decks, etc) to help support the BrightLoop team for both project development and project execution as well as management reporting.
Support of project development activities will include developing and maintaining project finance models, working with the Sales and Business Development team to ensure timely responses to customer inquiries, supporting bid/no-bid decisions with information and data collected from the project development team, tracking of agreements such as NDAs, supporting proposal activities as needed including presentations to customers and development of other tools as needed to support project development.
Support for the project execution team will include supporting monthly reporting data including budgets and project completion (in conjunction with the Project Managers), developing and managing lessons learned from the projects and ensuring sharing of that information across all relevant projects, and working with the Digital Team in the creation of Dashboards and relevant tracking information for the projects.
Support for management reporting may include development of PowerPoint presentations to present relevant data and project status.
oThis position requires a technical understanding of the technology in order to adequately support development of these toolsoThis position is for key for a team which is focused on rapidly deploying a new, novel technology and therefore it will be fast paced, requires versatility, and a willingness to learn new skills.
Responsibilities oWorking with team leaders to understand their need for tool developmentoPerform analysis of data types and usage of various company systems such as Primavera, Aveva Connect, transactional project systems, etc.
oDevelop reporting and analytics using Power BI and other data tool (with support from the B&W Digital team)oFreedom to investigate data in all aspects, to create solutions and bring forward fresh idea that will improve B&W deployment of new technologiesQualificationsoPosition requires either a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data systems, Engineering, or similar experienceoSuperior understanding and capability in all Microsoft Office applications.
Power BI preferred.
oSound data analysis and analytics skills requiredoMust be willing to work and think outside the box, creativity and problem-solving skills are a mustoGood verbal and written communication skillsoAbility to manage multiple assignmentsoProficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
