Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate project scope and identify potential challenges or opportunities.
- Prepare detailed take-offs and quantity surveys of materials, labor, and equipment required for each project.
- Research and obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost projections.
- Create comprehensive cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Present estimates to clients and participate in negotiations as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, including supporting documentation and revisions.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide updates as necessary.
- Manage preparation of landscape architectural deliverables for all project phases including site details, materials selection, grading, and planting plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Project Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Proficient in using estimating software and tools.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to accurately interpret project plans and specifications.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
