9K a year 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago Hickory Ridge, a skilled nursing facility located in Akron, Ohio, is currently seeking an energetic and compassionate Therapy Director to provide oversight and successfully manage the therapy department.
This position prioritizes quality resident care and overall job performance, and minimizes attention to the traditional productivity measures placed on therapy departments.
The ideal candidate will promote a Culture of Care through an unwavering leadership style that bolsters both staff and resident satisfaction and commitment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Adequately staffing and scheduling efficient, skilled therapy interventions to successfully meet the needs of residents Daily communication with the MDS Coordinator to ensure accurate coding of MDS assessments Utilizing hospital continuity of care and nursing documentation to identify potential skilled therapy needs reflective of discipline-specific therapy interventions Obtaining necessary payer authorizations from various insurance providers to ensure timely reimbursement for skilled therapy services rendered Representing the therapy department in all applicable IDT meetings Managing the restorative nursing program in conjunction with the MDS Coordinator and Director of Nursing Delivering therapy treatment, when necessary, to residents with an active therapy plan of care Maintaining a clean and organized work environment Contributing to the overall needs of the facility Come be a part of an innovative approach to skilled nursing facility rehabilitation and help shape our dynamic team!
