Akron, OH Akron, OH Full-time Full-time $40,000 - $50,000 a year $40,000 - $50,000 a year Position Summary The Fourth/Fifth Grade ELA/SS Teacher will facilitate the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of children.
The Teacher will develop lesson plans consistent with established guidelines, establish rapport with students, staff, and parents, and motivate students in accordance with each student's abilities.
Responsibilities & Duties Demonstrates effective planning and organization for instruction Teaches content areas along with personal, social, and emotional skills Motivates students to achieve at their highest level of abilities and potential through a variety of activities and instructional methods Builds relationships with parents and/or guardians to ensure exceptional customer service, supplying them with pertinent information Assesses student interactions, performance, and progress on a regular basis Utilizes multiple sources of data collection to analyze barriers to student achievement and to access, identify, and apply to instructional improvement Set high expectations and standards for the achievement of students and personal growth Provide a classroom atmosphere based on the principals of firm, fair, and consistent practices, respect for individuals, and development of responsible citizenship Use technology effectively for instruction, record keeping, and other administrative tasks and communications Identify and participate in professional development opportunities Conduct and document parent conferences Be familiar with, and support, school administration in the effective implementation of the school's Emergency Response Plan Adhere to all teaching standards and safety regulations Adhere to the school's student discipline framework, which encompasses PBIS, Restorative Discipline, and Trauma-Informed Teaching practices Any other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Education or related discipline (i.
e.
Social Science, Humanities).
Valid Teaching Certificate from the Ohio Department of Education Ability to pass a background check Compensation & Benefits Compensation ($40,000 - $50,000 annually) is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to work experience, education, certifications, etc.
