Responsibilities:
Dispatch Scheduling of freight pickups and deliveries.
Ensure freight is picked up and delivered on time.
Communicate with drivers and customers throughout the load to keep them informed and build relationships.
Understand and communicate the customer's specific delivery requirements.
Ensure excellent service is consistently achieved.
Promptly answer driver and customer calls and emails.
Sales Strategize with your Business Development Manager (BDM) & Terminal Manager to uncover new opportunities in your territory.
Communicate daily with your BDM & Terminal Manager.
Pricing/quoting loads for customers in a timely fashion.
Receive and handle customer calls and emails professionally while providing solutions Participate in face-to-face monthly meetings as a team to discuss opportunities.
Operational Duties Demonstrates professionalism in communication, relationship development, customer service, etc.
Daily equipment inventory check.
Collaborate with other Logistics Managers to keep our fleet of drivers moving.
Enter information into operating software (TMW) ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Find shipments on load boards to keep drivers moving throughout the network.
Skills Desired:
Previous dispatch experience required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in fast and dynamic environment and tolerate stress Ability to multi task as you juggle loads, drivers and customers Team player Previous experience in transportation industry Highly proficient with computers Attention to detail Positive Can DO Attitude Organizational Skills Job Type:
