Job Designation The Sr. Program Manager provides oversight, leadership and plans, organizes, and manages all activities necessary to ensure the successful completion of assigned programs within established objectives including quality, reliability, scheduling and cost/budget. The Sr. Program Manager leads the Program Lifecycle activities of the assigned Programs and Projects and reports status, risks, issues and get-well plans to the Director, Program Management. This role is the focal point representing the assigned Programs and Projects to the site leadership. The Sr. Program Manager works collaboratively with the Functional Management Team to meet or exceed our Customer's expectations in terms of quality, cost and delivery. This position will partner with all internal functions responsible for product design, production, delivery and support of product(s) assigned. The Sr. Program Manager works with customers to ensure satisfaction and promotes the customer relationship with Meggitt. Job Core Responsibilities Oversees program lifecycles and manages all activities necessary to meet business goals and objectives Develops detailed program plans; including budget, resource allocation and program communication Manages the entire program process with P&L responsibility Ensures customer satisfaction through excellent service and communication Consolidates product requirements and develops relevant documents for internal and external use Develops ROI analyses, opportunity business plans and product development road maps based on specific customer service requirements Works closely with other internal marketing and external sales teams to pursue new opportunities emerging from existing programs Creates forecasts of new opportunities and expansion of existing programs Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance Supports marketing new business activities by providing the program management section of proposals. After contract award, coordinates and works with marketing to develop plans and set strategy for achieving follow-on business Acts as the company representative and prime customer contact for all assigned programs. All customer questions or problems concerning assigned programs are resolved by the SR. Program Manager or directed by the Sr. Program Manager to the proper area for resolution. By developing customer confidence in Meggitt products and services, additional business opportunities are explored through coordination with the Marketing representative Maintains a risk, issues and opportunities management system where risks, issues and opportunities are identified, prioritized and mitigation plans and recovery strategies are defined and actioned Responsible for all facets of assigned programs working within objectives, goals and funding requirements established by management. The Sr. Program Manager produces and manages the Program Management Plan, ensuring all aspects of the program, including Technical, Commercial and Supply Chain activities are integrated into a Master Program Schedule. A detailed breakdown of work to be accomplished is prepared and specific tasks are assigned to various functional organizations Allocates and controls funds and prepares reports to monitor actual verses budgeted costs. Progress on program status and performance is constantly monitored through review meetings, reports and presentations to management and customers. When necessary the Sr. Program Manager may lead a team to negotiate changes in the contractual agreement due to changes in specifications, schedules, or any other element of the agreement Participates in the resolution of technical and commercial in-service issues, especially with regards to Customer Interaction and relationship Supports the development and maintenance of annual budgets including forecasts Attends weekly and monthly Executive Program Reviews with the Product Group and Division Leadership Teams Supports all non-customer audits (ie:
Quality, ISO, AS, Trade Compliance, etc.) Ensures the PMO and Group adheres to company policies, procedures and guidelines Assists in the generation and modification of PMO policies and procedures Supports Marketing in new business opportunities for customers or programmes not assigned Assists Program Managers / Project Managers to eliminate internal constraints and prioritize tasks Carries out special duties and other duties as assigned Job Specifications Education:
Bachelor degree required, preferably in Engineering or other technical field. Post-graduate education (MBA) desired. Certifications:
APM / PMP Certification preferred Years'
Experience:

years of relevant experience required; strong aerospace background desirable Skills:
This position is both administrative and technical in nature Experience in New Product Introduction, Program / Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing or Operations Engineering. Excellent Program/Project Management skills for successful program and project delivery Strong technical background is required to understand and evaluate the technical specifications, requirements and capabilities associated with programs and projects Understanding of financial, product development, operational functions and key business drivers Experience of working and managing teams in a multi-discipline matrix environment Effective motivator, mentor, communicator and problem solver Ability to work independently and interface with cross-functional disciplines; using excellent interpersonal skills to drive tasks to completion Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities, priorities and projects Self-motivated with problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong PC skills required; Experience with MS Office, Project and SAP preferred Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to develop clear and detailed plans to all levels including Senior Leadership Ability to Travel (Domestic and International)
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Program ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
