Create and develop innovative plasma medicine technologies for commercialization.
Conduct research in the area of plasma medicine technologies. Support new development, base business product improvements and new technology through design, laboratory testing, reporting and documentation. Create intellectual properties based on research results. Provide company-wide support through delivery of systems information and resources.
Requires Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with dissertation in non-thermal plasma applications.
12 Months Experience conducting plasma research to include:
Application of plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) on biological materials; Dielectric Barrier Discharge electrode design; Medical device prototyping; Development of atmospheric pressure plasma systems (DBD, plasma jet, corona) for agricultural applications-sterilization, growth acceleration); Plasma power measurement; Characterization of plasma temperature, plasma dynamics and species. Also 12 mos. experience conducting thin film deposition research including direct experience with thin film deposition system modification, construction, and maintenance, and nanofilm and nanoparticle fabrication and characterization.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
