Our client located in the Akron, Ohio area is currently seeking a Value Stream Leader who has the charismatic leadership skills to lead the value stream through the upcoming implementation of lean processes, champion safety and to participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
BS in engineering or an Associate's degree in a technical discipline is acceptable 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing engineering, technical or supervisory role. Proven problem solving and decision making skills Experience with MRP/ERP and Microsoft Office Suite Superior interpersonal and leadership skills Experience with lean processes, safety and continuous improvement processes
Key
Responsibilities:
Drive the continuous improvement process though education and training of associates in lean tools, techniques and systems. Identify issues, problems (systemic, product, process, quality, etc.) and develop plans to eliminate, and lead execution plan using countermeasure tools. Responsible for daily/weekly audits to include 5(6)S, product quality, system quality, process, ISO 9001, DuPont STOP, Kanban, etc. Understand the value stream products, customers both internal and external, and all manufacturing processes/procedures for the assigned value stream.
