A well established and growing fabricator of trade show/point of purchase displays is seeking a CAD Designer for their team.
The ideal candidate will have direct application experience and past experience generating 3D drawings using SolidWorks.
The primary responsibilities of this role will the creation of all computer engineered specifications and instruction manuals for prototype and production purposes.
Position duties include:
Work with prototype department to help engineer parts Create detail drawings of prototype or manufactured parts fabricated from wire, sheet metal, wood, plastic, or other materials. Generate and document any needed changes to existing designs/parts Develop instruction manuals for production jobs Convert all engineering details/drawings and manuals into PDFs for archiving purposes Convert parts to compatible DXF files for CNC production Work with project managers and inventory control associates to generate Bills of Materials/parts lists
Position requirements:
Associates degree or technical school certification Demonstrated hands-on experience using SolidWorks Experience with the conversion of drawing files for CNC production Good communication skills and the ability to professionally interface with all internal and external stakeholders as needed Experience with MS Office Suite
