Permanent Position
Automated machinery OEM in the south suburbs of Cleveland is seeking a Mechanical Designer to add to their growing team. This position requires hands-on SolidWorks software experience in machinery design applications.
The primary mission of this role will be to generate 3D models, detail drawings, and BOMs
Some additional duties may include reverse engineering of existing subassemblies with an eye towards improving designs for enhanced performance and cost reduction.
Position responsibilities include:
Create layout, assembly, and detail drawings
Finalize assembly drawings for manufacturing
Create assembly bill of materials and parts lists
Reverse engineer existing machine assemblies
Needed qualifications for this position include:
5 plus year of experience with automated machinery design from concept
Minimum of an Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Proficiency with SolidWorks software
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication and documentation skills
Experience in machine design applications
