00 an hour Direct Support Professional (DSP)- PRN or part-time persons are always needed; may be good for someone who needs more flexibility.
Responsibilities:
Homemaker/Personal care staff should perform such tasks assisting the individuals with activities of daily living, skill development, personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, transfer, or ambulatory needs.
The DSP may also perform homemaking tasks for the individuals only.
These tasks may include cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping, among others.
For example, the provider may prepare a dish and place it in the oven to cook (homemaking), assist the individuals in washing up before a meal, assist him/her to the table (personal care), put the prepared meal on the table (homemaking), and assist the individuals in eating (personal care).
Services provided include the following:
1.
Provide routine, personal healthcare, such as bathing, dressing, or grooming, to elderly, convalescent, or disabled persons in their home.
Basic personal care and grooming, including bathing, care of the hair, and assistance with clothing.
2.
Some individuals need assistance with bowel requirements or problems, including helping the individuals to and from the bathroom.
3.
Assisting the individuals with medications 4.
Performing household chores essential to the individuals health and comfort in the home (e.
g.
.
necessary changing of bed linens or rearranging of furniture to enable the individuals to move about more easily in his/her home).
5.
Assessing, monitoring, and supervising the individuals to ensure the individuals s safety, health, and welfare.
6.
All house cleaning tasks in all areas of the home.
7.
Preparation of shopping list appropriate to a individualEUR(TM)s dietary needs and financial circumstances, performance of grocery shopping activities as necessary and preparation of meals.
8.
Personal laundry.
9.
Incidental neighborhood errands as necessary, including driving and accompanying the individuals to medical or other appropriate appointments and accompanying individuals for short walks outside the home.
Physical:
Be aware of exposure to occupational diseases.
Able to be physically capable of safely intervening Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, driving, and occasional bending, lifting, pulling, squatting, and stooping.
Good hearing and ability to tolerate loud noise levels and vision with or without correction are essential.
Verbalization, reading, and writing skills are essential.
Must be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs.

Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License with no more than 2 points or you will not be a driver.
