Our client, a Premiere Northeast Ohio Company based in the greater Cleveland Area, seeks a talented professional to fill the role of V.P. Finance and Accounting. As a key member of the Executive Management team, the V.P. Finance and Accounting will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and assume a strategic management team role in leading the day-to-day activities of the accounting and finance departments in this fast paced, growing company. This includes oversight of the accounting, finance, and purchasing departments to ensure the organization achieves its strategic objectives and meets or exceeds its annual operating budgets and forecasts.
Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Hands on management of all aspects of the accounting and finance areas of the organization to ensure credibility by providing timely and accurate financial statements and related analyses of financial trends, budgets and cash flows.
Responsible for cash flow projections, budgets and forecasts to enable the Company to achieve short and long-term strategic financial objectives and make timely decisions.
Implement standardized accounting policies and procedures and ensure adherence to same.
Actively participate in Executive Management team meetings and provide advice on the financial implications of business activities. Develops, recommends and implements strategic organizational, structural, and developmental matters for the company.
Strategic partner to the CEO and other Executive Management team members.
Coaches and develops department managers and staff within areas of responsibility.
Maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure (1) compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting, (2) safeguarding of corporate assets and (3) adherence to high ethical standards.
Qualifications:
BS/BA in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred but not mandatory

years overall accounting, finance experience in a privately held organization, preferably a manufacturing environment with progressively responsible financial leadership roles with at least 6
years in a leadership position.
Excellent technical skills in accounting including experience with budgeting, cash flow projections, cost accounting, payroll and purchasing.
Strong Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint and Word required.
Self-starter with ability to motivate teams to achieve stated objectives with high quality, timely outcomes within tight timeframes.
Strong strategic, communication and interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization in a clear, concise and convincing manner.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Results oriented, high level of personal integrity.
Strong problem solving skills and ability to make decisions in a timely manner.
